CURLY SAX CLUB with Bob Whittaker
Fridays 6:30 - 8:30pm - 2 hours group tuition.
Following on from the hugely successful 10 week Jazz Sax Workshop, we're delighted to announce we'll be starting the Curly Sax Club.
Learn jazz standards, theory and improvisation techniques.
Aimed at novice/intermediate players i.e. someone who has probably a couple of years or more experience/ grade 2-5 standard and knows a good few major scales and arpeggios.
We're hoping to bridge that bewildering gap between playing at home and getting up at a jam night.
Each session will last for four weeks and we'll be studying a new song for the duration. The idea is that after four weeks you will be able to confidently play, solo and understand that particular jazz standard/ song.
For each session you'll get access to downloadable theory sheets for each standard explaining the song form, chord progression, modes etc plus the lead sheet and backing tracks. You'll also be able to watch our tutorial videos at home to help you through the weeks.
The cost is £50.00 for a block of 4 sessions - it's not essential to come to consecutive weeks (can be difficult for everyone to commit to every Friday) but would be preferable so you don't miss out on anything.
If you would like to join contact us here email@example.com and we can book you in!
